The spirit of giving is alive and well this holiday season. We are spearheading a project called Operation Beautification. Each quarter we choose a non-profit to work with. This quarter we’ve chosen the Sojourner Center.
Sojourner Center was founded in 1977 by a group of visionaries who believed women needed a safe place to live, free from domestic violence. Since that time, Sojourner Center has grown from a single 24-bed campus, to three campuses housing a total of 244 emergency shelter beds and 15 transitional apartments. Sojourner Center is the largest domestic violence shelter in the nation with the capacity to provide shelter and support services to approximately 2,450 women and children annually.
Our goal is to assist them in renovating and upgrading their dining facilities. To do this we need to raise $20,000.00 and the support of volunteers. To date we have 50 people committed to this great cause, but we still need your help.
We are looking for the following:
• Volunteers
• Paint, painting supplies
• Lighting
• New Stereo Equipment
• Monetary Donations (please make all checks payable to Sojourner Center)
